These days when people lack focus they are always asking me how to handle an interview when they are carrying personal stress with them, and my answer is always the same.

It’s okay. No one will reject you because you have emotions. It’s a very sensitive time for everyone.

But I want as well to remind you of something that there is no excuse to ever do.

A few months ago, I had a client who was good at his job but kept failing interviews.

He usually got rejected or got no response after interviews, even though he seemed to know his stuff.

πŸ’‘ I decided to look into it and found out something surprising.

When talking about his last job, he started bad-mouthing the company badly. He thought being honest was good, but there’s a limit.

Here’s why trash-talking your old job is a bad idea:

1️⃣ It makes you look unprofessional and people might think you’ll do the same to them
2️⃣ It shows you might not be good at working with new people.
3️⃣ It seems like you can’t deal with problems positively.
4️⃣ It shows you might be immature and have a bad attitude at work.

π‹πžπ¬π¬π¨π§ π₯𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 – Being honest is important, but you have to be careful with your words.

Stay smart and positive, friends!
