A stray dog in a remote village in Uttar Pradesh was reported profusely bleeding after a train ran over her. Despite three limbs having been crushed, she was still nursing young puppies. When VOSD’s founder Rakesh Shukla heard of her plight, he arranged for medical help right away. After initial treatment when she was stable, she was transported by road all way to Bengaluru.
After months of care, Mama was in the peak of health. She managed to cope with just one intact paw! She has been under VOSD’s care for the past 4 years and is the undisputed queen bee of the sanctuary – every dog must listen to her commands. The black beauty is the epitome of resilience and bravery.
